Contemporary Forms is a fusion of floor work, partner work, constant motion and release techniques and improv. This class will redefine the dancer’s work either in the class room. It teaches students to respect their bodies and others while supporting other’s body weight and being supported. Contact with the floor and drops to the floor train dancers to stay poised and in form while making transitions and supporting their own body weight in various positions. This class is extremely rigorous and dancers are encouraged not to eat at least an hour before class as we work up the heart rate high and continuously move for the majority of the class. Choreography for our next show will be dynamic and unexpected.
